I've always been keen on Levington composts - well they work for me anyway. This is a link to their professional range which I have used but you may need to ask a friendly Garden Centre to get for you.

Have you ever used those potting soils that are formulated to retain moisture longer? I was buying compost (shhh, don't tell that I'm not using home-made--my yard is too big, never have enough compost) the other day and saw it at the local garden center. It's about double the price of regular potting soil. Just wonder if it's worth it.
Hi Lin,
no I use a Levington's general compost. But I would like to experiment with this later in the year when watering is more of an issue.

I've heard good reports and think it would suit my plants.
